Martial Arts for fighting or Self-Defense.
What is the best?
Well if you practice martial arts for combat, then you know you will get into a fight!
You may be good at fighting, and have the drive to be a world champion! But as the saying goes there is always someone stronger than you out there!
The point of training is the same, to beat your next opponent. During that time, you usually suffer small injuries that build up over time, or more serious ones, that can prevent you from properly doing your job, or to take care of your family!
Plus I think we all know about concussions!
Now if you practice Martial Arts for Self-Defense, you will try to avoid fighting!
(Because you will know that) You may be good at fighting, and have the drive to be a world champion! But as the saying goes there is always someone stronger than you out there!
The point of training is the same, (not to get beat or killed by) your next opponent” attacker”. During that time, you may suffer small injuries, and prevent more serious ones, so you can continue taking care of your family!
During self- defense training we avoid hard strikes to the head. Because we know the dangers of concussions!
