Our Ju-Jitsu club offers practical martial art that was developed for self-defence. Learn how to grapple, punch, kick, defend, and get a great workout.
The core of the art comprises a system of throws, joint locks and strikes. Based on the principal of using an aggressor’s energy to their own disadvantage, Jujitsu skills can be used by men, women and children to counter aggressive situations ranging from unwanted harassment to armed physical assault.
You first few classes will start with the basics punches blocks and kicks. Then we will introduce you to Break Falls (ukemi-waza). Break falls will teach you how to fall without getting hurt.
Once you start feeling comfortable with the basics, we will start introducing throwing techniques (nage-waza). This is the self-defense and combat part of our Art.
Ok now you are starting to get better at your techniques! It is now time to combine all that you have learned, and add different combinations of attack and defence.
